Recording Workshops
Journey Through the Arts has now expanded its operations to include children’s recording workshops. Kids can now write and record their own creations in the JTTA Studios within a single visit. Through the use of a digital eight track recording system kids can layer and multi-track their own original ideas and use their imaginations to create and capture their own sounds. Sessions start with a song writing lesson where children will create their own composition. After some tweaking the song will then be recorded to a CD that they can leave with that same evening! Kids are invited to bring along any instruments that they may already play or can choose to try some guitars or percussion instruments at the studio. An understanding of music or experience with an instrument is not necessary! Groups will be kept small to ensure that all participants can experience every aspect of the recording process.
